History

Kilvington Saville and Partners Limited (KS&P) was formed in 1988 to support a select group of rapidly expanding organisations with a range of assessment, recruitment and HR services.

Initially started in London and Brussels, the UK remains our headquarters but we now have partners, consultants and researchers spread across the globe and networked together so we can support our clients in virtually every geographic market. The founders had worked in leading executive search and occupational psychology organisations and they shared a vision that there was a need for a truly client-focused service that concentrated on providing talent acquisition services across a broader range of roles for a select group of clients.

The first clients were industry leading organisations who were looking for assistance in building up new organisations as they expanded globally. The need was for consistent quality of service and effectiveness across the functions, levels and geographic locations.

Our success in servicing these needs is demonstrated by the fact that we still service some of these original accounts, and have built up a client base of key accounts that we support on a global basis.

In addition to these major international organisations we also provide consultancy and support to other recruitment companies and our research company Milar became a centre of excellence in providing multi lingual research services to the recruitment industry.

This gave us a unique position as we had one of the largest research capabilities in Europe, yet did not have to face the same conflict of interest issues that the largest international executive search firms faced as we had an exclusive and relatively small client base.

In 1993 we launched Direct Resourcing which provides end user clients with research services that allowed them to handle search assignments using their internal resources rather than an executive search or recruitment company.

We have always been early adopters of technology and techniques and recognised the power of the internet to aid our research activity and to reshape the resourcing industry. In 1998 we developed a very early social network goldenhello.com which has proved an excellent aid to sourcing passive candidates. This company also services other end user and recruitment organisations outside of Kilvington Saville and will be relaunched in 2014 to aid organisations in recruiting using social networks.

Prior to starting Kilvington Saville one of the founders had been the MD for a firm of occupational psychologists and was totally committed to the appropriate use of psychometrics to aid effective selection, and more importantly help identify development needs for new appointees. We have worked with Psytech International in the development and use of assessment techniques that are localised to allow them to be used in nearly all global markets and most major languages.

We have been involved in a number of new subsidiary set-ups and during the internet boom, complete new company set-ups. This was highly challenging work in a very competitive market for rare talent and to tight time scales. It required us to develop some new services where we handled the total job definitions through to on-boarding and coaching activity. This end-to-end resourcing solution was highly successful and we continue to provide these services to the present day.

Over the years we have worked in a wide range of business sectors predominantly including IT, FMCG, Consulting and Infrastructure. Most of the assignments have been at a senior manager level but for major accounts we have worked on projects at lower levels, particularly where we are building a new business unit or country organisation.

Today we operate on a global basis with only 20% of our business coming from the UK, and we are particularly skilled at handling multi-country and truly global searches where the candidates can be anywhere.
